Earlier this afternoon I was honored to be elected by my colleagues throughout the State of Wisconsin to serve as the President of the Urban Alliance for the next two years. The Urban Alliance is made up of Mayors/City Managers/City Administrators of the 40 largest cities throughout the State of Wisconsin. The Urban Alliance focuses on public policy evaluation and development; public education; and legislative advocacy for larger cities. The Urban Alliance provides a forum to discuss and advocate on issues of concern to urban areas. I look forward to this new and challenging opportunity to work with other cities throughout the state to move us forward.
