Earlier this evening, I sautéed some kale using a little garlic, olive oil, and vegetable stock. I accompanied this little culinary delight by watching a film from Japan that was subtly touching in the way that small, personal films are capable of being, and had a very nice evening. Now, allow me to translate that: I ate a green leafy mass of a thing in the most tolerable way that I could imagine, but it was not quite tolerable enough to finish all of it, and then watched a cartoon that made me feel emotions against my will, all the while wondering why I didn’t have meat for dinner like the brutal carnivore that I obviously am, and now I’m left scouring lists upon wasteful lists in my mind in search of a reason for being up this late.
