Earlier this month, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health announced the 21st Century Cures initiative. It was created with the understanding that the development of new cures and new delivery methods for healthcare services is moving rapidly and outpacing the regulatory process. The Subcommittee held a hearing at the beginning of May entitled “Telehealth to Digital Medicine: How 21st Century Technology Can Benefit Patients,” which was intended to explore the benefits of telemedicine and telehealth solutions and the ways in which they can increase access to care for patients across America.
