Earlier this month we had a very creative guest stay at our Glasgow Youth Hostel who wrote a poem about his stay. We liked it so much we thought we would share it with you all. Thank you to SYHA member Mr Desmond Barton for his work: Night now settled in its seat, On the second day of May, At the Glasgow Youth Hostels 21st century beat, With the sun showing a more ready face to play, Ornate ceilings draw the eye to please, Of harvest produce, the tastebuds to appease, And rustic stairwells and newel posts of sculpture grand, In league with the treds and rises, Soft in feel but loud in echo stand, In twilight invokes high sentinels green, Calm voices from the past sound serene.
