Earlier this summer, I attended and performed at the 77th Annual Abbotts Magic Get-Together, in the tiny village of Colon, MI. Its a unique event for magicians. Its more than a convention. More than a conference. The entire town of 1,100 people (including the large Amish community) becomes involved in this annual family reunion. There are no hotels. The hundreds of magicians, hobbyists and performers stay with families throughout the town. There is one traffic light in the center of the town, yet, Colon is also home to three magic shops. Many of the worlds greatest magicians have graced the stage in Colon, and I am honored to have been asked back to perform, four times. The web-based show, The Verge, sent a video crew this year to cover the Get-Together, and heres their 14-minute web documentary that captures the essence of the event.
