Earlier this week, I read that Nairobi is the largest money - TopicsExpress

Earlier this week, I read that Nairobi is the largest money laundering hub in Africa. Today, Im buying my electricity tokens at an Uchumi outlet, and this fella who looks like he is from South Sudan is in front of me on the queue and asks for electricity tokens for his residential account for KShs. 200,000. The cashier is flabbergasted, and tries to question the transaction, but ends up wielding his way to cash the tokens in 5 or more different transactions. The foreigner now seemingly has paid his electricity bills for over 3 years! Then I get to thinking, 1. He can transfer the tokens to someone else and get his money back. 2. He can proceed to another outlet and buy more tokens. What happened there....your guess is as good as mine.
