Earlier this week (while working out) I broke a nail right across - TopicsExpress

Earlier this week (while working out) I broke a nail right across the middle. I do a gel overlay so that my nails dont break so easily. It bleed and hurt yet I kept enduring the workout. Well all week even though I soaked it in peroxide it was sore. I would try to be careful but I would manage to hit it on something that would remind me that it was hurt. Let me mention the finger was on my strongest and most used hand therefore I realized that things I took for granted, I would say, became harder to do. Well I got the nail fixed, thinking it would hurt doing so, I embraced myself for the pain. Oddly enough the nail tech (expert at his field) handled it with a quickness and I felt nothing. Now even after it has been fixed I am finding myself acting as if there is still hurt yet I know it isnt! Im telling this story because I thought about it after I laughed at myself and realized that often WE carry the hurt further than it should be carried. We pray to God for his assistance in bringing comfort yet we drudge up the pain over and over, reliving the moments, basically not letting it go NOT allowing the healing we seeked and asked of God. We cant move forward if we are holding on to things that we asked to release if we keep having remembrance parties. Its different if you are assisting another and sharing your story to show that you were once there yet have been delivered but to keep bringing up, talking about and crying about these things mean YOU HAVE NOT ALLOWED YOURSELF TO MOVE FORWARD! Today do yourself a favor and truly RELEASE/Let Go of that in which you are holding onto. Give YOU the true opportunity to LIVE, LAUGH and Be LOVELY!
