Earlier this year, I introduced the Secret Science Reform Act, - TopicsExpress

Earlier this year, I introduced the Secret Science Reform Act, H.R. 4012. The bill prohibits the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from proposing or finalizing rules without making public all scientific and technical evidence used in support of the proposed rule or regulation. For far too long, the EPA has approved regulations that have placed a crippling financial burden on taxpayers without public evidence to justify their actions. According to EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy, only ‘qualified or real scientists’ should be allowed to see data sets that validate public policy. The concept of having a government that runs substantially on secret information is outrageous. I will be talking on the House Floor about this bill before our vote tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned for the live video link.
