Earlier this year, the Mexican government sent a message to all world embassies that they could not longer perform the Mexican anthem because the government forgot to renew the copyright to a US firm, which owns the rights. They are now owned by a Japanese hat company, apparently. Given the this is the case, I doubt the Japanese would object to having us sing it in this language. Sounds beautiful to me. - Martin Terrones
