Earlier today Congressman Bill Owens voted to approve the conference report on H.R. 3230, The Veterans Access, Choice & Accountability Act of 2014, which will reform the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The conference agreement was approved by the House of Representatives by a wide bipartisan margin of 420 to 5. “This is a positive step forward for our nation’s veterans and military personnel,” said Owens. “These are people who have made great sacrifices to defend our nation and they deserve better than they have been getting.
