Earlier today I found out that Ben had lost his battle with the brain tumor that had affected him over the past several months. My heart was broken and saddened to hear this news and my thoughts are with the immediate family members-my thoughts are with his great grandmother Rosa Lisa Lombardo and know that this is really hard to lose a great grandchild. My thoughts are with my cousin Ken and his wife Donna Lombardo Albrecht as they loved these children and were the ideal grandparents for all of the children. My thoughts go to the aunts Lisa Sauer and Elissa Mandich and Marissa Albrecht and the uncle Dan Albrecht as they are suffering along with the rest of the family. Finally my heart aches for Mindy Sauer and her husband Andy along with Jack and Megan and the unborn baby. I know that the next couple of days will be really difficult for them as they are dealing with the loss of Benjamin and hope that they are surrounded by love and comfort and peace. Also, pray that the public and community respect the family as they are facing this difficult time. Ben touched many people during the last few months and Mindy shared the journey with others but know that this is going to be really difficult for them at this time.
