Earlier today I visited KIFWAs exhibition booth at the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry expo ongoing at White Sands hotel. My intention was to voice my views about a number of issues appertaining cargo clearance that has been raised by importers and clearing agents. By the virtue of being in freight forwarding for sometime and having shipments to be cleared every now and then, I had many issues to voice. Now my questions to freight forwarders and clearing agents: 1. Do we really understand the objectives of KIFWA as the forwarders association? 2. Should we blame KIFWA for every challenge faced? 3. Do we know what we should do on our part to help associations such as KIFWA execute their mandates effectively?
