Earlier today I wrote about being angry, now I’ll balance that with what I’m thankful for: I’m thankful that I’m an Israeli and that I’m also American I’m thankful for my family I’m thankful for the support my husband is giving me in trying to open a business I’m thankful for my wise and wonderful daughter and for my wonderful and loving son and the excitement of starting his new career I’m thankful for my dog being 13 years old and not wanting long walks or playing in the park at this time. I’m thankful for my extended family and for my friends – they should be safe no matter where in the world they are. I’m thankful for Facebook that allows me to express my feelings and that I live in a country that gives me my freedom to do just that. I’m thankful for Women of the Wall and that they never gave up. One of these days soon I’ll travel to Jerusalem to pray with them. I’m thankful for the Iron Dome saving lives all day long. I’m thankful to American for all the money they provide for the Iron Dome. And of course the sirens that warn me. I’m thankful that my government, with all the sorrow and heartbreak and hate we receive is staying strong to protect us. I’m thankful that everyone around knows how important it is to bake, to cook, to shop and even order pizza in support of our wonderful IDF I’m thankful for the IDF – our sons, our daughters that serve, our reservists: fathers, mothers, uncles’ cousins’ husbands that are there protecting us. I’m sure I left many things out – but you get the drift. If anyone wants to share this you must add to the comments at least 1 thing you are thankful for!
