Earlier tonight I was at Pier One and I noticed a woman looking at wicker furniture designed for outdoors. Stuff you would put on your deck or your front porch. She never purchased the furniture. She just looked at it real creepy like. Later, I stopped by Callaways Lawn and garden and Ill be damned if it wasnt the same lady. This time looking a a wooden and cast iron bench for outdoors and again she didnt buy it. It was at this point that I realized this lady was the Front Porch Bandit from Clinton. I didnt have time to alert the authorities, so I immediately sprang into action and subdued the women. I tackled her from behind and planted her face in the concrete floor. She was able to squirm from under me and reverse my hold but I was able to break free and we both took a standing position. She lunged at me and I swept her leg and took her down again. Once down, I used a serpentine move and forced her to tap out. I zip tied her hands behind her back and found her ID. Turns out she is Midred Elvira Massengale, an 82 year old retired librarian. It just goes to show. Anyone might be a criminal so always be aware. Never trust nobody!
