Early Morning Pondering (EMP) March 22, 2014 ... :) :) :) ... Beloved, it should not surprise us that, the more abundantly we love the less we are loved. The Apostles of JESUS CHRIST experienced this so much that while Apostle Paul planned his third visit to the Church of GOD at Corinth, he said to them, And I will very gladly spend and be sent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved (2 Corinthians 12:15). Be it as it may, we are commanded to walk in LOVE and it matters not, if the people we LOVE show us LOVE or not. While JESUS walked on this earth, HE showed LOVE and compassion everywhere HE went. HE dined with the sinners (Matthew 9:10); When the scribes and Pharisees saw HIM eat with the sinners, they asked, How is it that HE ate and drank with the publicans and sinners? JESUS, hearing this, said unto them: They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance (Mark 2 :13-17). Beloved, JESUS walked in LOVE and showed compassion.HE healed the sick and raised the dead. He sent forth the twelve and commanded them, including us, to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils; and HE said, freely ye have received, freely give (Matthew 10:8). Yet with all the LOVE and COMPASSION, HE was rejected and despised. And like a ROSE trampled on the ground, HE took the fall and thought of us above all. In HIS WORD, HE tells us, A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another(John 13:34-35). Therefore, when we continually walk in LOVE, we are obeying the WORD of GOD. Whether or not people receive and show LOVE to us, should not be a burden on us, for freely we have received LOVE and freely we should give LOVE. Recall, GOD is LOVE and if we choose to LOVE as HE commands us to, HE is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, (Ephesians 3:20). Beloved, truth be told, when we LOVE in deed and in truth, GOD blesses us beyond our widest expectations because we are walking in HIS Ways, that is, obeying HIS WORD. And obedience brings blessings. Obedience is the gateway to a world of eternal blessings (Deuteronomy 28:1-13).
