Early in the morning today, As I just tried to wake up from my bed, I got a call from my mom. She was excited as she called me. I was taken aback as to what something great happened to her. As she narrated, I was on born on this day at Gunitsawa, Paro, when my dad was serving in the Royal Bhutan Army. She wanted to know if I knew today (Lhabab Duechhen) was my birthday. I said I was never told of my real birthday. But she said that she could not go to Paro to enjoy a tshechu, then performed on the occasion of the descending day of the Load Buddha and she regrets a lot. I was happy I could at least know I was born on this day. Looking back at the calender, I came to know that this was fell on 17th October 1982. I am puzzled as to whether my birthday really is on 17th October or 13th November now. May be tomorrow, my birthday will fall on some other day but the lhabab duechen. My dad serve in Royal Bhutan Army for 17 years and he served as a CHUMA for the entire service term.
