Early last month I had been fishing on the Puyallup River for pink salmon. I caught my limit, got back to the truck and was in a rush. Loaded all my gear in the truck, I thought, and drove off. Well, I had my new rod and reel leaning against the truck and drove off without it. Retain plus tax would have cost me $410 to replace, plus the cost of the line. I posted on Craigs List with a photo of the rod/reel and never received a response. So, wrote it off as a big mistake on my part. Well, around 5pm this evening I get a phone call from this guy that said he found a rod/reel. He felt bad and didnt know how to find the owner....he knew the value of this rod/reel combo. As it turned out, he did an internet search for rod/reel lost and where and got a hit. This evening the young man returned my rod/reel to me. He was a veteran - 5 yrs army. He would not take the money reward I had posted for the return. I am still overwhelmed by this honesty and all he went thru to try and find me.... THERE ARE GOOD HONEST PEOPLE OUT THERE AND I MET ONE THIS EVENING......
