Early last month I was positive that we had been secret shopped. Today they sent me the report confirming it. Their comments: * When I entered the store I was asked by a female clerk sitting at a computer at the entrance if I needed help and I said I was just looking, then I was asked again by an older man, then again I was asked by a younger man. When I could not find the issues I asked the female clerk who got an answer from the older man who said they would be available tomorrow. I felt uncomfortable because it seemed like every few seconds someone was asking if they could help me. I wasnt left to browse. (The female clerk being Sari at Temple of Toys, I remember she seemed confused that there was a toy shop and a comic shop, although Sari did explain this to her when she asked about the two comics that were coming out the next day). * It was very clean and tidy inside, everything was orderly. There were no TVs or gaming tables. * The associates were overeager to help and I was unable to look around without all of them wanting to help me, I didnt feel comfortable not being able to browse. (Which is funny because I thought she looked confused, like she was trying to find something, meanwhile we were trying to get everything ready for Wednesdays new releases. She spend a fair amount of time staring at things without any clear intent, like most browsers would be attracted to certain items like tshirts, back issues or the bookshelves). * I dont have any knowledge of the subject of comic books and graphic novels. (Which was kind of obvious) * If you want a lot of people helping you this would be the place to be. If you like to browse it would not be a good place to go. The people did seem sincerely eager to help.
