Early morning bad news phone call from my upstairs tenant. .Did you know that we dont have any hot water? No,I didnt know that. So,no hot water in the upstairs apartment,but theres.hot water in my bathroom and downstairs apartment.Turned up furnaces,set-up heaters by pipes I believe are the suspects.Called my furnace guy Steve..He turned up the water heater and cut a vent hole in the furnace room,so basement would get some heat.Bad news was that he said he believes the problem is the old galvanized pipes that need to be replaced.He knows a guy who will do it for $25.00-$45.00/Hr..New pipe is cheap,labor is expensive.He will call me back with the guys number. Bad news,still no hot water.Im hoping that heaters will eventually work.Boiling water for dishes. I hope I dont hear from anyone today who says something stupid like,I just love winter. Trying to keep my sense of humor eating chocolate,and waiting for the hot water to flow...
