Early morning call from Liberia bears bad news: Our TA pastor and friend, Pastor George Sackie lost his wife, Nancy Sackie, this morning from ebola. She developed symptoms last week and was taken to the ebola treatment center in Lofa. We have all been praying for her, but God answered in a different way. Nancy had recently completed her missionary physicians assistant program and was working at Phoebe hospital. Through her care of others, she came in contact with this dreadful disease. I spoke to Pastor George this morning. He and Nancys mother are quarantined to their house in Gbarnga with 10 grandchildren for two more weeks. Please continue to pray for them, especially for Gods comfort. Those that would normally come to grieve and comfort the family are not allowed to come. They are very alone. I told Pastor George that we are praying for him and that we are remembering him and his family.
