Early morning hours of Wednesday Oct 1st update on Ashleigh-Anne. A dr came in and Said ct shows two areas they feel are infection. They are giving her 3 or 4 antibiotics but also doing the fluid tap to confirm their thoughts. Said she will start to feel better after antibiotics but that the antibiotics alone will not bring the fluid down. When the infection is gone the body will then reabsorb the fluids. They may decide to put in a drain to get the fluid off but not sure yet. He said draining the fluid can sometimes dehydrate the patient and they lose proteins and other important things found in the fluid.The fluid tap will take place shortly and this will just be a sample of the fluid.. The dr feels this will not negatively impact her new liver but reminded me it is a delicate balance with all the anti rejection meds she takes.
