Early morning rapid analysis of this s... Hole called Middle East and North Africa. The fact is that the Lebanese Forces are the ONLY consistent and reliable political platform aiming to building a respectable human hub in the Arab speaking countries of the Levent today. As for the Gulf, patriarchal tribal configurations have proven extremely successful in countries such as UAE, Oman, Qatar. Kuwait and Bahrain, better structured politically (parliament , elections etc...) are success stories as well. KSA is still suffering from the influence of fundamentalist scholars of Islam who believe that they are vested with the mission of defending uncompromisingly the precepts of Islam. The monarchy in KSA however does not have any plans to export the ideology of its cumbersome Islamic scholars. Turkey is a democracy while Tunis has proven to be a solid country and has mutated towards a convincing democracy. Egypt is militarily ruled, Libya is a mess, Morocco is evolving towards a better place for humans, Algeria is shamefully stuck in the 70 logic of things. Iran a country with huge human potential and natural resources is unfortunately still ruled by Islamist fundamentalists and is proud to export (violently) its ideology and influence all over the Middle East and Gulf.
