Early morning thoughts with Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto Number - TopicsExpress

Early morning thoughts with Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto Number Two: As I get ready to walk the streets of our beautiful city, I’m struck by a thought. This is anecdotal of course, (inductive reasoning and all that) but I seem to notice since the tragedy in Missouri that I, and walkers with different skin tones, seem to go out of our ways to offer a smile and “good morning.” Wouldn’t it be hoot if hatemongering triggered some dormant contra-gene of social compatibility? It would be like nature, though as Tennyson called it “red in tooth and claw,” wants us to, as Sinclair Lewis put it, “stop somewhere short of suicide.” Hmmm. If it turns out to be true, and I am credited with its discovery, I’ll call it “Medius Nightmarus.” Oh, and you won’t want to miss this. https://youtube/watch?v=rEGOihjqO9w
