Early on in my illness, I had several people (a nun, a doctor, and a pastor) basically tell me not expect healing or to be able to do the things I really wanted to do. But I chose not to believe their words of discouragement. Today I heard something that reminded me where I learned that kind of perseverance. My mom made a goal to accomplish a physical task back in March. She worked at it every day since. And...today, she was able to accomplish that goal! It may seem like a small thing, but its not. Leaving a legacy like perseverance for your kids is amazing. And, Im blessed to have both a mom and dad that taught me that.
