Early rise. I have a project to complete for a class. (3) Business Writing samples.. Right!! Good thing my best hours of focus are 1a-12noon. Still on club/party hours!! Lol. Seriously, this morning, I turn to Pandora, look up Ricky Dillard and ONE MORE CHANCE plays. As the choir gets to their run. The Lead states my life story all in one verse. Up in the Club, with a cocktail in my left hand, a cigarette in my right, I didn’t have a needle but I had a crack pipe hidden someplace, looking for the dope man. He should have cut me OFF way back then! A force of PURE JOY filled my SOUL. I began to reflect on my life and how the prayers of my Mother reached God’s ears and he spared my life, giving me time to get it together! My Mom use to always say to me, Get right, Get Right, or you gonna, get left sweetie, Left to handle the fires or hell, it’s up to you! Today Hell is not a consideration, I got my ticket and it’s in my hand!! I AM SO GRATEFUL; HE GAVE ME ONE MORE CHANCE! So glad, so glad he gave me ONE MORE CHANCE!!!.
