Earth to cable news: Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 will never be found. Continuing to report every false lead is cruel in that relatives and friends are subjected to a new emotional roller coaster every day. If the plane crashed in the general area being searched, the water is 3 miles deep in places. The ocean floor is not flat but has peaks and valleys. The aircraft cannot possibly be in one piece, neither can the bodies be intact. It is what it is. The airplane crashed in an unknown place for unknown reasons. That makes us feel small and vulnerable--and rightly so.
