Earthquake jolts Chitral Chitral: Quakes due to earthquake are reported in Chitral, Ghazar, Lower Dir and Swat on Saturday morning , ARY NEWS reports. According to reports, low scale earthquake also hit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) of Pakistan. People residing in the said area escaped out of their homes in hurry. No casualties and structural damage is reported yet. The intensity of the earthquake recorded as 5.6 on Richter scale and the epicentre was located at the bordering area of Tajikistan and Afghanistan. A massive temblor previously struck Balochistan onSeptember 24, killing at least 400 people, injuring hundreds and flattening thousands of houses in the southwestern province. Officials said thousands have been left homeless as a result. An earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale struck Kashmir and Northern areas on October 08, 2005, resulted in more than 80,000 fatalities, 200,000 people injured and more than four million people left homeless.
