Easily the best Chrimbo song written on a planet where some people buy plane seat tickets for their hats, whilst others root through dustbins and sleep in waste pipes having overdosed on too many capitalist promises. SUPERB word play from the genius Mr. Russell to entwine the storyline with the forces that drive it and cause it - possibly never will be be topped! A nutcracker of a song that splits the head open of it`s INTENDED audience brilliantly and evokes in them all those memories of hiding behind the curtain from the Tally man on Friday nights and wanting wanting WANTING what your mam can`t afford to get you for crimbo. The actual storyline of B.B. is total poppycock, but the intention - to point out the great division that class brings into society is never expressed more succinctly and gloriously than in this rendition by Babs ( a lass who has been seen hiding behind that curtain many times herself).
