EastEnders: Lauren Branning to confront Max over Lucy murder #news ... Lauren Branning will grow increasingly suspicious of her dad Max on EastEnders next week, as she starts to believe that he could be responsible for murdering Lucy Beale. It was previously reported that Maxs family would question his innocence this month and new pictures show Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) confronting him over her concerns. Maxs potential involvement in the ongoing mystery came to light once again during the New Years Day episode as Emma fired a cryptic accusation at him. However, as he mourns in the wake of Emmas death, Lauren becomes concerned over his behaviour and seeks help elsewhere. Lauren initially grows concerned about Max (Jake Wood) when he angrily turns on Emmas former fiancé Bryant (Glen Wallace) after he turns up to collect her things. Max is angry when Bryant comes to collect Emmas belongings. Max is angry when Bryant arrives Bryant comes to collect Emmas belongings and Max throws him out. Bryant comes to collect Emmas belongings and Max Alone with Carol later on, Lauren is chilled to learn that he has destroyed Emmas case file on Lucy. Growing ever suspicious of her dads behaviour and unable to confide in Abi or Peter, Lauren decides to fetch the torn-up file from the bin. When Stacey (Lacey Turner) notices that something is awry with Lauren in the café, she is quick to offer her support. Taking Stacey up on her offer, Lauren later goes to see her and finally confesses her fears - she thinks Max killed Lucy. Feeling desperate, Lauren asks Stacey to help her talk to Max and although reluctant, Stacey eventually agrees. Lauren confronts her dad about her suspicions.
