After deciding to give their relationship a go, the couple face a challenge when Phil returns home from hospital and is unhappy to see Charlie (Declan Bennett) in his house with Ronnie. Although Charlie assures Ronnie (Samantha Womack) that Phils attitude doesnt change anything, Phil later makes it very clear that he disapproves of Ronnie dating a policeman, especially with her past actions.As Phil (Steve McFadden) tells Ronnie that it would be too dangerous to get close to Charlie and harbour her secret about killing Carl, Ronnie realises that she needs to end the relationship. Meanwhile, oblivious to this, Dot gives Charlie her old engagement ring and tells him that he should marry Ronnie. Charlie gives the idea some thought and eventually decides to propose, but what will Ronnies answer be?EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, October 23 at 8pm on BBC One.
