Easter Sunday. A day of well dressed church goers, joyful choirs singing, inspiring sermons, family dinners, hidden eggs, and chocolate. Lots of chocolate. Its difficult in the midst of our busy Easter festivities to have a moment to truly reflect on what this day represents. But here is what I know. That in spite of, and maybe even because of, my busy day today... I need a Savior. I need a Redeemer. I need the empty tomb. Because I need the hope. The hope that I dont have to try for perfection on my own. The hope that tomorrow morning His mercy renews and His grace never ends. The hope that death and sin will not conquer. The hope that something in my life, that everything in my life will be changed because of Him. The hope that when I weigh myself in the morning, the chocolate pounds will miraculously disappear. 😉 I dont know if you have had time to reflect today on the wonder of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. But I trust that when you do, you find hope.
