Easter headache.. Many of you may have seen the articles in certain newspapers last week with regards to a cold and snowy Easter. This was always looking very unlikely and when the weather models were hinting at some colder weather any snow would have been confined to higher ground. What is causing a headache at the moment is the fact that we have no strong agreement from the weather models. Some model runs want high pressure to develop over the UK with some slightly colder upper air at 850hpa which would lead to settled weather, sunshine by day and frosts at night. The other possibility is if high pressure doesnt develop in a favorable position we may see much cooler air filter down from the North West all-be-it temporary, although this is looking very unlikely. The more probable outcome is a shortwave/low pressure developing bringing rain across East Anglia, South East England and most of the South on Easter Sunday, setting us up for a bank holiday of sunshine and showers. Friday and Saturday isnt looking to bad though with 13-15c expected widely. We will of course keep you updated. Lewis
