Eat some chocolate When those cravings come on strong, you - TopicsExpress

Eat some chocolate When those cravings come on strong, you can go out and take a walk to the corner store and buy some chocolate – real chocolate, like a Hersheys all chocolate bar for example, but without all the other stuff. In other words, don’t buy Hershey’s Cookies-n-Cream or the Hershey’s with Almonds; just get the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bar or any whole chocolate bar. Believe it or not, eating chocolate has several benefits and is very enjoyable as well. For example, the magnesium in the chocolate helps to restore the overall balance of the body’s’ magnesium levels and as a result can help to reduce stress and anxiety within the mind, and the body. When youre going through stress, the body tends to deplete your magnesium supply which creates an imbalance of the bodys biochemistry which in turn causes more stress and anxiety, and anxiety leads to cravings. But a good old Hersheys bar or dark chocolate bar can restore and balance magnesium levels to reduce stress and anxiety and help you to feel good. It feels good to eat chocolate and satisfying as well. Also, chocolate has a compound known as Anandamide which has a direct stress reducing effect on the body. This same compound is also called the bliss chemical and works towards binding to certain receptors inside the brain to promote relaxation. Chocolate also contains enzyme inhibitors that reduce the ability of the body to metabolize Anandamide, and this prolongs the high (feel good) experience felt when and after youre done eating the chocolate. Phenylethlamine is another mood altering compound found in chocolate as well. And this chemical is also released by the brain when a person is in love, (and maybe thats why people love chocolate so much). Chocolates are also high in fat content and this triggers the natural opiate production in the brain. Also, chocolates high in carbohydrates tend to increase endorphins and serotonin levels. And they say that chocolate can also bring back happy memories as well. Eating chocolate can help you to beat cravings by reducing stress and anxiety which many times are the triggers for such cravings. And chocolate can also help you to feel good and relaxed as well. Any foods that are high in Magnesium, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B1, and Vitamin D may also help to reduce cravings and anxiety.
