Ebola Confusion: Africa breaks into a war Kenya quarantines Ugandan passengers coming from Entebbe because of a case of Ebola passenger that flew in from South Sudan. Zambia actually bans all West Africans from Zambia which is like a joke. Guinea closes its border against Sierra Leone and Liberia but reverses itself immediately because of its unworkability. Gambia revises its blanket ban of Air traffic as Nigeria bans The Gambian National Carrier. The new rule says that its airline can not carry passengers from Guinea,Sierra leone and Liberia but can fly into those countries. Benin Republic puts 2 cases of Ebola in Quarantine, one of them a Nigerian. Ghana quarantines a burkinabe citizen in the North on suspicion of carrying the virus. It was reported that A Liberian citizen was almost lynched in Ghana when his car broke down. The Liberian president apologizes to almost everyone for something she had no control over. Nigerians hold Liberia responsible for the death of a nurse who treated the Ebola suicide bomber that flew into Nigeria. Most Nigerians cannot understand why Obama and USA will watch Nigerians die for something given to them by an American citizen. America gave Nigeria Ebola so America should send the serum to clean up the mess. Meanwhile the social media helped create confusion in Nigeria. A young lady sent a false message to her friends as a prank asking her to drink salt and bath with hot water mixed with salt before 6 Am on Friday . She sent the message on Thursday evening. By 3 am on Friday the message was on almost every phone in the urban areas of Nigeria. The superstitious ,the ignorant and the gullible obeyed this dangerous command. 2 people died by morning and 20 were hospitalized . This proves the mortal fear of Ebola. While swallowing the obvious insult implied in the non release of the serum by America ,Africans should stop the knee jerk reactions already at play by working on a long term plan to stop such epidemics in the future. Ebola is here with us and our reactions shows we will overcome Ebola in Africa. Stay safe Africa
