Ebola Report since 3rd September, 2013 Ebola Viral Disease Situation Report – Ministry of Health and Sanitation, Sierra Leone For more information please contact – District Health Management Team at District level National level - Directorate of Disease Prevention and Control: dpcsurveillance@gmail Mobile:- +23276913000 Government of Sierra Leone Ministry of Health and Sanitation EBOLA VIRUS DISEASE - SITUATION REPORT (Sit-Rep) – 03September, 2014 Main highlights For the 2nd September2014, a total of 56new samples were received and analysed by the CDC Kenema& South African NICD MLU Western Area Laboratory: Kailahun (14), Kenema (18),Tonkolili (4), Port Loko (7),Bo (1)and Western Area (12).Thirty-one (31) of these samples are positive, 21 are negativewhile 4suspected caseshave been recommended for a second test base on their symptoms onset.(See table 1) The cumulative number of Laboratory confirmedcasesare1,146whiles confirmed death is 399with a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) based on confirmed cases of 34.8%. Seventy-four (74) patients are currently admitted at the Kenema Isolation Unitwith no report received from the Kailahun Isolation unit.
