Ebola, a virus which gained root in Africa, in the worlds 3 poorest countries, due to extreme poverty. A poverty caused by the economic and social exploitation and plunder by colonialist capitalist powers through the ages. Capitalist powers which, but for the profit motive, could have developed a vaccine for Ebola when it first developed 40 years ago. The poverty of the masses and their consequent health concerns is not of sufficient incentive or financial motivation for capitalism to act. Consequently, the present economic and social system is incapable of responding to the present crisis. Instead, the US and Britain exploit the crisis by sending thousands of foot soldiers in, instead of medical personnel, in order to protect and reinforce their colonial investments under the fake guise of building medical centres. If this epidemic spreads the rich will be able to protect themselves and the poor will be left to continue to die.
