Ebola kills Bodhisattavas Another American missionary doctor has tested positive for Ebola in Monrovia, Liberia. It is a tragedy that the epidemic has claimed 1,500 deaths, but what is more tragic is that 260 Africas health workers have been infected and 100 health workers have died while treating the Ebola patients so far. I think these people are true Bodhisattavas, and certainly not those who only pray for the welfare of the sentient beings. I am feeling guilty of dedicating the merits of my prayers for the welfare of the sentient beings. These health workers are the bodhisattvas of action while others are the Bodhisattvas of intention, as Shantideva wrote centuries ago.
