Eccleshall FC are organising a Sportsmans Evening at Knutton Ex-Servicemens Club, John Street, Knutton, Newcastle, ST5 6DT. The evening will start at 7.30 pm on April 5th 2014 The evening is to raise funds for one of its footballers who was injured in a NWCFL game in December when he suffered a broken tibula and fibula as well as a badly dislocated ankle. He will never be able to play football again. He has a wife and 3 young children and whilst he has club insurance cover and we are hoping for something from the FA and Staffs FA Benevolent funds this is still a long way from what he was able to earn as a manual fork-lift truck worker. The tickets for the event are 20 UK pounds each and are limited to 200 people. There will also be an auction on the evening of football and sports memorabilia. I anticipate there will also be a raffle. Price includes a pie and peas supper and the main speaker is Razor Ruddock. He will be supported by a comedian and a compere. All monies raised will be donated to Matt Bradbury. Tickets will be allocated on a first come - first served basis.
