Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company Presents SUSU (Sight Unseen Sound Unheard) Steve Batts and Lorcan Doherty In Concert Saturday 21st June at 4pm Saturday 28th June at 7pm Echo Echo Studios, Magazine Street, Derry Instant Composition in Sound and Movement which takes a journey from the meditative through the humorous and strange to the passionate and back. Well known Derry composer and performer Lorcan Doherty and Echo Echo Artistic Director Steve Batts bring their deeply honed improvisational skills, their passion for real time composition and their enjoyment of the risk of the unknown to their first collaboration project since they met during a ‘Music Promise project earlier this year. Lorcan uses the laptop to create beautiful, unusual and vibrant soundscapes. Steve has only his physical presence and the embodied memory as his resource. No stuff... no clutter... just sound and movement appearing fleetingly and disappearing into time and memory. On the 21st June the two will be in concert as a duo. On the 28th June with Marcin Pietruszweski (other half of noise/improv duo The Elephant Calf), and Zoe Ramsey (Echo Echo Ensemble Artist). The performances last approximately 1 hour and will certainly be different from anything you, or we, are expecting. Come along; see and hear where whim, momentum, desire and curiosity take us ... and you too. Performances are part of programme for Music City (21st June) and Celtronic Festival (28th June). Echo Echo is supported by Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
