Job Description Main Responsibilities Support to Sub-Delegation Be aware of socio –political situation and keeps information up-to-date. Channels all relevant information for the EcoSec department and the sub-delegation. Advise colleagues (including Field Delegates) in various fields such as politics, economy, culture, religion, etc. Briefs interlocutors on ICRC activities Acts as a source of reference during absences Interviews beneficiaries and meets community leaders and their key informants to understand the situation on the ground Project Planning In collaboration with EcoSec Team Leader and the Field Delegates, participates actively in planning of all EcoSec activities Ensures timely and accurate planning and follow up of planned activities General EcoSec activities Participates in setting up implementing and monitoring all EcoSec activities as required, with a specific focus on the emergency assistance programme (EMS), cash for work (CFW) programme and livelihood programmes and other activities as requested Cooperation with ARCS Branches in ensuring effective and timely intervention of activities Creates ROs for assistance and follows up with KAB-Log (ICRC Kabul Logistic) Responsible for needs assessments by collecting all relevant information for the implementation of the programme Analyses the information collected and proposes assistance interventions accordingly Organizes and follows up distribution to beneficiaries, together with the ARCS (Afghan Red Crescent Society) Organizes transportation of goods to the ARCS or other distribution sites Proposes or takes corrective steps when necessary Crosscheck and monitor smooth distribution to relevant beneficiaries Monitors and evaluates impact of assistance activities Follows up other EcoSec activities in the absence of the specific focal points Job Requirements Minimum required knowledge & experience: University degree or equivalent 4 years work experience in a similar field Fluent in written and spoken English Team leadership skills Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment Good analytical skills Good communication skills Excellent computer skills for statistical and narrative reporting Experience in administration work will be an asset.
