Economic Event to Watch: #Switzerland’s Real #Retail Sales (YoY, Sep) – 08:15 GMT, 7 November 2014 The #CHF appears to be trapped in between the #ECB and the Swiss Gold #Referendum due this 30 November. As #Eurozone’s events on Thursday did not help the CHF, #traders are on a keen lookout to see if any economic data could sway the votes for the referendum, as the results would have a greater impact on the economy and the currency’s movements. With the Real Retail Sales data, it is compiled through a survey of goods sold within the month, indicating the consumer demand level in Switzerland. An increase would be positive, whilst a drop would be negative – it is expected that the data will record a decrease from 1.9% to 1.0%. Should this prove accurate or worse than expected, it could temporarily drive the CHF downwards. Friday is going to be busy with other important economic data, including the eagerly anticipated Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) data from the #US. With that, the key assets to watch are: #USD/CHF, #EUR/CHF and #Gold [XAUUSD]
