Economic recession and the coming depression (Revelation 6: 5 - 6: And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.) The mystery of the third seal is clearly portrayed in the Book of Genesis with the famine that struck the world in the time of Joseph. We are currently on the brink of a massive global recession that will eventuate into the greatest depression that ever struck the earth. To fully understand how Rome will destroy wonderfully (Daniel 8: 24) and capture the wealth of the world, we will need to see how Joseph gained economic control of the ancient world. (Genesis 41: 8: And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.) Pharaoh King of Egypt dreamed two dreams of seven years of great plenty that would be followed by seven years of famine (Genesis 41); the dreams troubled Pharaoh insomuch that he summoned all the wise men and “think tanks” of Egypt for them to come and interpret the meaning of the two dreams. These great men of the age were clueless as to the meaning of the dreams because the dreams were sealed up in symbol form and could only be revealed by a prophet (Joseph). This age of prosperity and economic decline has been likewise sealed up in symbols by the dreams and visions of Daniel and John (he recorded the Book of Revelation). The great denominational ministries and economists as well as many other great men and women of the age are completely clueless as to the true future of the world because they are without the revelation of the scriptures that came to us by a vindicated prophet: Brother Branham (Malachi 4: 5). (Genesis 41: 14: Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.) Before the great famine struck the earth, the LORD had beforehand engineered events to bring Joseph into a position of power and rulership. Joseph was an adopted son of God who rose from the dust (the prison house) to the stars (the throne); he was being moved into his God-ordained position whilst the world was reeling in troubled times. Before Joseph approached the throne-room, he firstly shaved himself so that he would be presentable before the King. The LORD’S divine hand upon Joseph is the same for the Bride of Christ in this age; we are sons and daughters of God coming to the fullness of adoption whilst the world is being shaken by economic, political and social unrest; we too are having the “I will’s” of our self-willed natures shaved off of us so that we are clean and presentable as a chaste and righteous virgin Bride who is fit to rule over the earth. (Genesis 41: 29 - 30: Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;) …2001 to 2007 were considered seven years of great prosperity in the world in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks upon the twin towers in New York City. The American markets took a few hits in the successive years, but in general; the world enjoyed a period of unparalleled economic growth: a time of plenty. 2008 sparked the beginning of the global recession when Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (a finance company) collapsed, which was soon followed by the collapse of many other prominent companies. Since 2008 to this moment, and especially in light of the current shutdown of the American Government, the world is poised on the brink of perhaps the largest economic collapse to ever strike the earth. This is precisely what Joseph prophesied, and we are living out a replay of it in this age. On the wings of a snow white dove; Shreveport, Los Angeles; November 28, 1965 Why, me an old man, suffered all my life, why did He heal me now? I believe I’ll ride this trail again, I got to bring a message! And I say to my Father, tonight, (as Junior seen in a-a dream the other night of the wings of this dove, moving in these windows here), LORD, Your servant’s reporting for service. Amen, I’m ready! (Genesis 41: 43: And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.) Joseph was promoted as ruler over all the land of Egypt and was permitted to ride in Pharaoh’s second chariot. This alone bears great significance, for the LORD is riding this trail a second time through the ministry of His Bride; the seven years of prosperity (2001 to 2007) and the seven years of famine is happening during the season of Her ministry; She is the final Voice to the final age under Her messenger; just as Brother Branham said: “I’ll ride this trail again!” (Genesis 41: 44: And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.) The famine began before Joseph’s Gentile wife (Asenath) was dismissed to the palace. Asenath represents the Gentile Bride that Christ has wedded during His rejection by the Jewish brethren; this shows us then that the global recession will begin before the Bride of Christ is raptured (dismissed to the palace), and continues to the time when Joseph makes himself known to his brothers, that is, when Christ reveals Himself to the elect 144,000 Jews via the ministry of the two Jewish prophets (Revelation 11: 3). Joseph had the power of Pharaoh invested in him, therefore whatsoever Joseph spoke, his words were as if Pharaoh had spoken them, and were to be obeyed. The Bride of Christ similarly has “Thus saith the LORD” upon Her lips; this is the third pull: the power of the spoken Word becoming a reality in a time of great desperation; She will speak and the LORD will perform whatever She says because She will have His mind and His character. (Genesis 41: 45: And Pharaoh called Josephs name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.) Joseph received a new name: “Zaphnathpaaneah”, which means, “Revealer of secret things”. Joseph received this new identification because he was specially gifted to receive from God divine revelation concerning the plan of God upon the earth.( Revelation 2: 17: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.) The Bride too has received a pure revelation (the white stone) from God; She is the elect Lady, and Her name is written upon the Lamb’s Book of Life, therefore within this revelation that She has received is Her true identity, Her new name as “Lady Jesus Christ”; the wife of the great King; this is what grants Her the authority to speak anything in His name and it will be performed. (Genesis 41: 54: And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.) It is important for the reader to understand that scriptures can have a compound meaning. In this article I am showing Joseph as being a type of Christ; he is also a type of the Bride of Christ; and he is also (in one measure) a type of the Beast (Rome) that captures the wealth of the world. The multi-faceted types of Joseph bring a deeper and richer clarity to the storyline we are examining, and enable us to scripturally see in detail the current times that we are living in. The famine in Egypt began as a localised occurrence, but then spread into the surrounding lands, just as the 2008 recession began in America and gradually spread across the globe till 2010. But again, we are faced with another, much larger recession that will spread across the globe rapidly and bring about the total collapse of the financial system. (Genesis 41: 44: And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do.) The storyline of Joseph climaxes around the time of the famine. It took the famine to move everybody (Joseph and his brothers) into their pre-ordained position, and to bring forth Joseph as a manifested son of God. The current economic climate has been designed by God to bring forth the manifestation of the sons of God; to produce an earnest expectation and desire within the elect to become so yielded and committed to God so that their ministry produces the supernatural (Daniel 11: 32: And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.). It took World War Two and the Holocaust to drive the Jews back into their homeland, so too will it take a great economic pressure to drive the Bride together in divine love for the full manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8: 19: For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.). (Genesis 47: 12: And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his fathers household, with bread, according to their families. )Joseph revealed himself to his brothers after Asenath (his wife) had been dismissed to the palace. Jacob (Joseph’s father) later joined his sons in the land of Egypt and all were nourished by Joseph during the global calamity that had struck the earth.( Revelation 12: 6: And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.) The famine upon the earth in this age is twofold; it is firstly a famine for the hearing of the Word before it becomes a famine for literal food. It is because humanity chose to put the Word in short supply by rejecting Christ that they are now faced with a global recession (Amos 8: 11: Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:). Jacob and his family were nourished by Joseph during the famine, and so too will the 144,000 Jews be nourished spiritually for 3 ½ years (during the Tribulation) via the ministry of the two Jewish prophets (Revelation 11: 3). (Genesis 47: 13 - 14: And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine. And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaohs house.) Egypt and Canaan represented the entire ancient world because Canaan itself consisted of several nations of people. Egypt was the superpower of the world with a Joseph who used economic policy to gather up the money by using food to empower the kingdom, because food had become the greatest commodity; it was this economic policy of using food to gain all the money so as to capture the wealth of the world. This is precisely what Rome will do; God has permitted for Satan to ride the black horse (Revelation 6: 5) for him to create food-related economic policy to gain the wealth of this modern world. (Genesis 47: 15: And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth.) The money of the world eventually failed as it continually devalued and inflation soared in all lands, climaxing in a total depression. The current recession facing the earth can only worsen, and the currencies of all the nations will drop in value till they become worthless, plunging the world into the greatest depression that ever struck the earth; Zephaniah 1: 10 - 11: And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate the market place, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills. Howl, ye inhabitants of Maktesh means in Hebrew, “depression”; the world will enter a depression, for all the merchant people stock traders are cut down; all they that bear silver money dealers (investors) are cut off. (Genesis 47: 16 - 17: And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail. And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year.) As inflation increased till money was exhausted the people had no choice but to surrender their possessions to Joseph and become as slave-subjects unto him, being dependent upon him to provide them with their needs. Joseph took their cattle, horses, flocks and asses etcetera. The Beast shall do in similar fashion; the people will surrender their agricultural businesses, their transport, their homes, their jobs; all their assets they will surrender to Rome; they will become so desperate till they will gladly embrace the solution of Satan’s superman (the incarnate Pope) via his policies; Revelation 13: 17: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Genesis 47: 18 - 20: When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands: Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaohs. Eventually the big-business owners stood before Joseph and declared their bankruptcy; they could no longer continue; their staff had all been made redundant and there was nothing left even for them. Money and assets were gone; all that the people had left was the clothes upon their backs; they then became total slaves to Joseph; people who were willing to do whatever was expected of them so as to have food: the natural staff of life. The wide-screen television cannot feed you; the computer cannot feed you; the latest automobile cannot feed you: assets and money cannot feed you. Joseph understood this principle; and so in this age as the people have spent largely on credit, they will suddenly find themselves unable to pay their bills (no more houses to mortgage; no more land to sell etcetera) and will have no choice but to surrender their possessions and property; they will have to declare themselves bankrupt and will become the property of the State; they will sell themselves into bondage. (Genesis 47: 22: Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands.) When the financial system failed, only the State (Egypt) and the priests (the Roman Catholic Church) had the wealth. The people had been destroyed wonderfully (Daniel 8: 24). The people in the famine that started off with flocks etcetera lost everything as the famine became more severe. They eventually had no property, no money and no land; they became slaves to the system so that they could survive and not die; they had just enough for food. (Genesis 47: 27: And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly.) Joseph’s family were the only ones who were not bought and owned by the system. The 144,000 Jews will not take the Mark of the Beast, for they will have overcome the Beast in accordance with (Revelation 15: 2: And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.) The 144,000 Jews will overcome the Beast in the same manner that the Bride of Christ is overcoming as of this present time. The same sealing angel (the Holy Spirit) that seals the Bride is the same angel (Michael) that seals the 144,000 Jews (Daniel 12: 1: And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.); they will have overcoming power by the revelation of the Word preached to them by the two Jewish prophets (Revelation 11: 3). smorgasbord.biz/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=284&Itemid=274
