Ed Kluska’s Astrology Newsletter December 08, 2014: Sagittarius Cancer Adjustments Today the Moon makes hard aspects to Pluto at 12:01 PM and Uranus at 12:32 PM. These are close in time because Uranus will soon be square Pluto again, an important aspect to be covered in a future newsletter. The Moon entered Cancer early Sunday afternoon EST and remains in Cancer until late Tuesday evening when it enters the next sign Leo. With the Sun in Sagittarius and the Moon in Cancer, we have two signs with fundamentally different approaches to life. If you are in a Sagittarius Cancer relationship, or you have planets in both Sagittarius and Cancer (for example, your Sun and Mercury are in Sagittarius and your Moon and Mars are in Cancer), you need to understand these differences and make adjustments accordingly Cancer is security and emotional attachments. It is comfortable being with what is familiar such as their home and family. On the other hand, Sagittarius favors freedom and independence. It wants to be friendly with the world and seeks a variety of intellectual and social interactions. Cancer is caring, protective and security-based. It plays it safe and sticks to its roots. Sagittarius is more uninhibited and risk-taking. It wants to broaden its horizons with travel and experimentation. Both are more psychic-like than other sign combinations. Cancer instinctual and gut-feelings based. Sagittarius more intuitive and prophetic. In relationships, emotional contact is fraught with challenges because Sagittarius stretches the protective bands of Cancer, and Cancer has many emotional ropes for Sagittarius. Cancer is the sensitive introvert holding on to what is safe and familiar while Sagittarius is much more outward and expressive. The clinging nature of Cancer can frustrate the freedom and independence Sagittarius desires; and the uninhibited intellectual directness of Sagittarius can be too much hurt for the protective and sensitive Cancer.
