Eddie had a small belated birthday party yesterday at TK. Grandmother Maria had put it together last minute as I had been overwhelmed this past week dealing with issues surrounding Eddie and had postponed the party indefinitely. Both Eddie and I were surprised by the party. Only immediate family was present, joined by other resident children and some TK staff. I still plan on having the birthday party for him sometime soon for all my friends and extended family who had planned on coming to last Sundays cancelled party. Eddie responded quite well, with a very touching moment where he lifted his head forward and started turning side to side looking around, finally focusing on his uncle Alistair who had started reading him one of his birthday gifts, a childrens book called The Gruffalo.
