Eddys eyes popped open and his heart raced when his phone buzzed - TopicsExpress

Eddys eyes popped open and his heart raced when his phone buzzed at 2:10 a.m. Good news isnt usually delivered at that hour. He hopped out of bed and grabbed his phone. Hello...Hello... Who are you? The caller on the other line kept silence for a while and then spoke, Yeah Eddy! ....Meet me at the Green view park. Hello...Who is speaking? Eddy muttered as the caller hanged up abruptly. He gave a quick frustrating yawn and checked the table clock again which showed 2.14 a.m. After some minutes, he peeped through the hotels window and realized the unknown caller to be Franca, a colleague who has been threatening to expose his deeds to his wife. She had caught him repeatedly ogling the secretary who happened to be a close friend to Eddys wife. Franca, a lone ranger capitalized on his weakness to squeeze him of his hard earned money. However, she has managed to capture their illicit conversations and closeness with her phone which really disturbed Eddys mental capability and reasoning. This continued until one day when he watched a Christian movie that talked about unknown giants. The key part of the movie was the scene where a lad confronted the chief herbalist who has been threatening his freedom in their village. He was defeated through the power of God and the lad regained his freedom. Rising from the pit of fear, he summoned courage to challenge Franca. Meanwhile, Eddy has already confessed his sinful acts to God and his wife. When Franca saw that her additional means of livelihood was cut off, she immediately informed Eddys wife who lambasted and disgraced her publicly. At last, Eddy regained his identity and continue to wax stronger serving the Lord with his family. Some people are in the state of Eddy hiding under the cloak of shame and fear. The devil in form of Franca will keep tormenting them unless they confess their evil deeds to God and the people they have wronged. The Bible says we should confess our faults one to another, and pray one for another (James 5:16) A husband who is hiding his past wicked deeds from his wife is only inviting trouble. A wife who is pretending that all is well when in reality she is hiding the regular immoral text messages from her boss is definitely plucking down her home. A pastor messing around with his young members will surely incur Gods wrath. An employee who is defrauding his/her company will never prosper. Whatever you may be hiding has a way of tormenting you except you repent and expose it. The devil is cunning but giving pre-eminence to the Holy Spirit will grant you victory over the flesh, world and the devil. Perfect love casts out fear while openness brings peace and joy. Dont delay and God will help you. Have a lovely day!
