Eden Royce challenged me to do Eight Terrible Titles, which is a writing game. Im a bit intimidated, given my run-on sentence issues. But it does say phrase, not sentence, doesnt it? So here goes nothing. Ive been tagged in a new writing game called Eight Terrible Titles. The idea is to randomly let your cursor fall onto a spot within your manuscript eight times. Each phrase it falls on becomes a (usually terrible) title we can all have a laugh over. I cut some of the sentences to make the following titles: 1. It’s Called Anticipatory Grief 2. Impulse Was Happily Spinning 3. Impulse Said Suddenly 4. He Hasn’t Been Able to Produce One 5. Built on the Backs of the Innocent 6. She Pulled Him Very Close to Her 7. He Knew that Willie 8. Neck in Embarrassment Now, some of these are kind of awesome, mostly because my Work In Progress Insatiable has a character named Impulse. Here, I am supposed to tag some writers, who get to use this as an opportunity to remind people they have a Work In Progress: Im going to choose NaNoWriMo buddies, some of whom are still unpublished and I know Amy Bellino wants to plug her WiP. Phillip Cohen, Buffie Peterson, Josh Bisher and Jim Fahs all have a WiP (and except Phillip, Ive read part of their WiP). Loren MacGregor, Janiera Eldridge, and Serena Toxicat are published and also have a WiP or so Im told. Oh, I heard Eric Shaw Quinn too. If I havent tagged you, you clearly havent been posting about your WiP nearly enough. :P
