Eden of LC9 Q&As (old interview) Cr: ElivaHellena.tumblr 1. Would you give us a few standart information about you , such as your age and the place you originally come from? - I’m 20 in international age and I’m orginally born in Korea but I moved to Canada at the age of 6. And now i’m back in Korea. 2. Your occupation is quite interesting, how did you end up being an official trainee of Nega Network? - I ended up here through auditioning, but I got interested in coming here and auditioning for companies because I got casted by other companies before that. 3. Some of my readers probably don’t know what a traineeship in South Korean entertainment industry really is like- so ‘what’ is a trainee and how does the daily life look like? - We’re basically just that. We are training to do a job and what we love. Which in this case is singing/dancing/rapping/acting, entertainment in general. Daily life defers from company to company but usually a day consists of practicing with a couple lessons throughout the day. 4. Have you ever met celebrities in South Korea or even became friends with someone? - I’ve met a lot of Korean celebrities during my time here but I wouldn’t say they’re friends haha. 5. Do you listen to Korean pop music? - Yes 6. Did Korean pop culture affect you in any way such as the way you think, present yourself or the way you dress? - Of course. Just the fact of being in Korea in general affects me. Everything about myself has definitely been affected and I would like to think that it’s been positive. It’s been very constructive in my effort to achieve my goal. 7. Girls Generation (5.) and Jay Park (4.) recently left their mark on the International Billboards and made it to the Top 10. B2ST successfully held a concert in Germany/Berlin and attracted a lot of local media attention while Big Bangs official comeback is the hottest topic among western netizen. So what do you think about the impact of Korean music on the western entertainment industry? What may be the reason for it’s success? - It’s only gonna get bigger. I don’t know of Korean music will necessarily impact western entertainment but it will for sure become a bigger aspect of global music in general. The reason for the success is the attitude and thinkin of Korean people. One example can be the training program and the expansion of Korea as a country as a whole. Asia is growing a lot and this can only help K-pop and it’s efforts to become a bigger global contributor in music and entertainment. 8. Do you have an opinion about the common Korean beauty ideals and plastic surgery ? Did you spot new trends regarding cosmetics/fashion and generally outter appearance in Korea? - No, I don’t really have an opinion about Korean beauty specifically. But it’s definitely a part of entertainment, not only in Korea, but in Hollywood or America as well. People are more fashion forward and aware of trends and stuff like that here. I think it’s a positive thing though. 9. Is there anyone you admire and look up to? - I look up and admire my parents for putting up with me and raising me the way they did. I also look up to God, even though it’s hard while i’m training I always keep God close to my head and heart. This gets me through a lot of tough times. I also look up to other artists, the one I look up to most at the moment is probably Jay Park. 10. Do you already know how you want to call your growing fanbase? - Yeah I kinda know what i wanna call it, but it’s not a 100 per cent and I’ll reveal it in my next vlog. 11. Finally the obligatory personal question that might attract the biggest attention among your female fans: What is your ideal type? - My ideal type of girl is someone that can make me laugh. Someone who can always keep a good conversation going, and someone who is willing to care as much as my parents do. Even though these things seem easy or pretty basic, it’s actually reallllyy tough to find. And if they can cook/bake well that’s a plus hahah. - Sammy
