Edge of Tomorrow Review: Good: Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, Action, Plot, VFX Bad: Rest of Characters not fleshed out Edge of Tomorrow (from Bourne Identity Director Doug Liman) is a science fiction film that doesnt take itself too seriously, instead giving you a fun, action-packed experience. Tom Cruise plays the lead, who is not his typical action hero self, but what is quite interesting is to see what he experiences to grow into a man of action. Emily Blunt is great as the kind of tough as nails character who is helping Cruises character. The Plot is quite straight forward, but done well and there is quite a bit of humor that also makes the film fun to watch. This is a definite recommend. 9/10
