Edifying post by Apostle Bronwyn Botha: Something that A.Matt said in the IW last night that really impacted me and assisted my faith. When we think about a misplaced expectation, we can look at it as Building upon a promise that God did not make. Scale Q: What has God promised me? God has promised me salvation through Jesus Christ. God promises me that by faith I please Him and pleasing Him brings life to the soul because His witness is greater than the witness of the flesh. God promises that by His tokens laboured with, I will gain His perspective. God sustains my hope through the perception of long discernment, for by grace through faith I am given a heart to percieve those things from which my soul is being delivered; and can thus rejoice in my sufferings as I behold my true destiny in Him. God promises me that by enduring the process of regeneration I shall be rewarded with the virtue of His character and likeness through which we have equal fellowship, building grace upon grace. God promises increase through faiths reciprocation to grace, and as I apply myself to the building of His house by resourcing His blue-print and tools, so also is there a place reserved in His bosom for me. For as Jesus said, In my Fathers house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come againand recieve you unto myself. That there where I am, ye may be also. (John 14 2-3) . Ss By molding our expectation with the word of God, we establish hope upon His promise; which confidence is never fleeting, being anchored to the rock of our salvation. Amen!
