Edison Suero from #Mosctha answers Hermes Grullon, Washington, DC, Age 21 "Admittedly Dominicans in the US face discrimination due to their skin complexion and latino heritage, so what role, if any, has the diaspora played in criticizing or tacitly accepting this policy? Are there factions within the Dominican diaspora that have openly condemned the recent court decision?" In the Dominican Republic we are raised with a high level of anti haitianismo. Anything that the Dominican Government says or does against Dominicans of Haitian descent or Haitians most likely will be approved by the people. Because of the anti Haitianismo that has been injected to the people for many years. Also due to the misinformation and the little education about the court decision and the little knowledge of constitutional laws and birthright citizenship little has been done by the Dominican diaspora to condemn the recent court decision. However, if the Dominican diaspora would get involved in any activity of demonstration - manifestation this would pressure the government in helping interpret the changes differently
